Terms

The following terms apply to all elements of the world-wide-newspapers.com web site and are defined as follows:

·         Ad Square:  A single square of 20 x 20 pixels, located on the main grid of 2,500 ad squares as displayed on the world-wide- newspapers.com web site home page. 

·         Special Offer Square:  A square which is associated with a promotional activity. The dimensions, placement and associated cost of such a square are defined at the time of the promotion.

·         Sponsor:  An individual, syndicate or company that has successfully purchased one or more ad squares or special offer squares from world-wide-newspapers.com.

·         Graphic:  A non-animated picture file in either GIF or JPG format that is submitted by an existing or potential Sponsor for publishing on the world-wide-newspapers.com web site. Alternatively, this can constitute an interim image created by us, and displayed on the world-wide-newspapers.com web site pending receipt of final image details from a potential or existing Sponsor.

Conditions

1. The minimum purchase amount is US$ 100 (USD) for one ad square. This guarantees the display of your associated graphic for a period of 1 year.

2. At various times, special offers may be made available, with associated special offer square(s) priced accordingly.

3. The purchase price covers the rental of the space(s) occupied by one or more ad squares or special offer squares. This does not confer ownership, and at no time will Sponsors own any part of the world-wide-newspapers.com web site.

4. The world-wide-newspapers.com web site is available on a continual basis, with minimal down-time.  However, no responsibility can be taken for down-time resulting from any naturally occurring events or disasters e.g. earthquakes.

5. Any person or persons submitting details relating to ad square or special offer square placement, graphic file and associated web site links must be legally authorised to act as, or on behalf of the owner(s) of the associated web site.

6. Upon submission and subsequent display of a graphic on the world-wide-newspapers.com web site, the graphic cannot be altered unless:

6. 1 Your web site closes, changes names or undergoes a change in design that necessitates a different graphic to be displayed on the world-wide-newspapers.com web site.

6.2 It is recognised that the person or persons responsible for submitting the graphic did not have the legal authority to do so.

7. Once your payment has been cleared and all associated instructions for ad square or special offer square placement have been received, and subject to meeting all other conditions of approval as laid out in these terms and conditions, your graphic and associated web site link details will be displayed on the world-wide-newspapers.com web site within 48 hours, subject to the availability of requested ad squares or special offer squares at the time of receipt of instructions. Every effort will be made to place your graphic in your requested location. However, in the event that the location is not available at the time of receipt of your instructions, your graphic will be positioned as close as possible to that requested.  

8. Once a graphic is published on the world-wide-newspapers.com web site, no refunds will be made.

9. world-wide-newspapers.com will assess each submitted graphic, and reserves the right to refuse any graphic deemed inappropriate, such as offensive or overtly explicit images. In such instances, you will be asked to submit another, more suitable, image.

10. world-wide newspapers.com reserves the right to refuse submissions for links to web sites whose associated content is deemed to be inappropriate, illegal or distasteful, and takes no responsibility for the nature and content of material residing on sites other than the world-wide-newspapers.com web site.

11. You can request permanent removal of your graphic (and hence the associated link to your web site). You will need to send an email here, with verifiable proof of your identity and authorisation for requesting such removal.  Upon removal, the associated ad square(s) or special offer square(s) will immediately become available for purchase by other sponsors.

12. Your graphic must be sized to fit exactly into the area of the ad squares or special offer squares you have requested.  If your submitted graphic does not fit into your requested squares, it will be re-sized as necessary. However, no responsibility is taken for any subsequent degradation of image quality.

13. If you do not submit (via email) a graphic file, an interim graphic will be set up on the world-wide-newspapers.com web site, based on the look of your web site home page. The interim graphic will remain in place until you submit your own graphic file for consideration. This will ensure a swift presence on the world-wide-newspapers.com web site in the event that you do not have a graphic immediately available. If you do not wish an interim logo to be displayed, you should send an email here to request its removal.

14. All requested web site links must be to your home page and begin with http://

15. If you close your web site, or if your web site is not available for any reason for a period of 28 days or more, you will be asked to re-instate it within a subsequent period of 28 days. Should your web site still not be available for linking to, and if no acceptable reason for retaining the associated ad squares or special offer squares is provided, your graphic image will be removed from the associated squares, and such squares will be made re-available for purchase. This is to ensure the currency and efficacy of the world-wide-newspapers.com website and the services it provides.

16. world-wide-newspapers.com reserves the right to make amendments and/or changes to its web site and associated terms and conditions as it sees fit.
